Greyson Nekrutman from Long Island, New York, has been named one of the nation’s “top-performing high school jazz musicians” by the National Association for Music Education. He has garnered an international following through social media for his versatility and distinctive technique. From playing with Paul Simon’s bassist, Bakithi Kumalo, to various New York metro area venues, Greyson is rapidly emerging on the music scene.
He is currently on tour drumming for the incredible 'Whiplash in Concert', where Damien Chazelle's Oscar-winning film screens with a live orchestra performing Justin Hurwitz’s electrifying jazz score in perfect synchronisation with Greyson's thrilling drum solos!
From Jazz to Metal
Suicidal Tendencies: He joined the crossover thrash band in April 2023, replacing Brandon Pertzborn.
Sepultura: He joined the Brazilian metal band in February 2024, replacing Eloy Casagrande for their farewell tour.
Trivium: It was announced on October 5, 2025, that he would become the new drummer for Trivium for their 2025 "Struck Dead" tour.
